ARTICLES and LINKS

The following Articles and Links present a collection of information that we hope you will find useful.

Your local County Extension Office should have an Agent that deals with ponds and lakes.  If you call and ask for that person, they may be able to give you local information and resources.  In some Counties if they have the Staff they may come out to your pond for a free evaluation.  You may also be able to take in a Baggie of pond weeds and have them identified, in order to get counsel on dealing with them.

Whatever State you are in, your local County Extension Office may have a Pond Agent who can assist you in identifying weeds and other services.  If the Office has the Staff, some Counties allow their Agents to come out and provide a free pond evaluation, including water ph testing, information on Liming and Fertilizing, fish stocking and problem solving.  It may be worth a call to see if they can help.

If you are in Alabama, click on the link above to go to a Map of Alabama, and then and click on your County on the Map.  That will take you to your County Agent’s website.

If you are in another State, you should be able to do a search for your County to find your County Extension Office and their phone number.  Call them ask for the Agent that works with ponds, and tell them what you are wanting help with.  They may be able to assist you at no cost.  To do a search, enter “(type in your County, State) + County Extension Office Phone”.   That should bring up a number to call in your County.
